Custom Murphy Doors

What is a murphy door?

Murphy doors also referred to as bookshelf doors or hidden doors look like an inset wall unit.

These Murphy Doors open either inswing or outswing to allow entry to an otherwise concealed room.

Murphy doors can be used to:

• conceal pantries
• kids playrooms
• gun storage
• or any other room

Murphy doors can be custom built to install in any size opening up to 36 inches. Murphy doors can be designed as part of your new home build or renovation project.

The door shown in the example below was used to allow access to an area that had been previously closed off with access only through a small trapdoor over the basement stairwell.

Since it was adjacent to the dining room this new found space made an excellent pantry with no indication it was there.
